One High Street is bursting with character, comfort and history. Run by Erica Higgins, who lives next door (and to be honest is now looking for a quiet life following her lively career in PR and the music industry), the cottage and barn are steeped in Erica’s sunny style of hospitality, bringing a touch of eccentric charm to the picturesque and historic village of Abbots Bromley.
Situated right on the village green, a bit like something from a postcard, the Cottage makes the perfect base for a thrill-seeking couple looking to strike out and explore all that the village and surrounding countryside has to offer; or for the less adventurous to hunker down by the fire in a onesie, snuggle up, and snoop on passers-by from the front window before popping across the road to the pub once the sun is over the yardarm.
The quieter Barn is tucked back from the road, and makes a great extra bedroom for friends that you like quite a lot, but would prefer not to share a bathroom with.
Erica is not crazy about tiny plastic kettles on trays with UHT milk, or dusty baskets of pot pourri, however she does supply a stash of great reading material including the latest copy of Country Life, plus your own complimentary Hobby Horse Welcome Hamper of locally produced goodies to make you feel right at home.
